Theme:   “ How Art Unveils the Truth"

There is creative power within each of us to tell our stories.  Our ancestors understood this and used it fully. The stories of African people have always been captured in art and passed on through witnesses. Filled with the Spirit of God and endowed with creative wisdom, Africans throughout the Diaspora have used words, images, and “all manner of workmanship” to describe their condition, recall their journey, and embrace their faith.  We stand ready to unveil, accept and pass on the truth they shared.
