Brenda S. Kelly, PhD is the wife of the Senior Pastor of Olive Branch.  With professional degrees in Christian and elementary education, she combined her love for children with her love of Jesus Christ and launched a special program for children at Olive Branch Community Church. Currently, First Lady Kelly serves as the director of Olive Branch’s children’s church, The Ark. This program provides a structured worship environment for children where they explore the word of God, encounter the Holy Spirit, and experience the love of Christ. Committed to the teachings of Christ, Dr. Kelly instructs the children at Olive Branch during Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  

The First Lady also supports the Women’s Ministry at Olive Branch; she is one of the church’s earliest proponents of Women and the Word, a unique Bible study for and about women. Her commitment to supporting the causes and needs of women, is further evidenced by her service to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Potomac Valley Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc.

Dr. Kelly holds true to her heart Ephesians 3: 20-21, “Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us – to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
